1. THE PROMOTER The Promoter is EV DOT ENERGY LTD of 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE.
2. HOW TO ENTER
2.1 The competition will run from 09:00 BST on 10.08.23 (the "
Opening Date") to 17:00 BST on 18.08.23 (the "
Closing Date") inclusive.
2.2 All competition entries must be received by the Promoter by no later than 17:00 BST on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
2.3 To enter the competition complete the Public Charging Survey, which can be found sent to you via email, by the Closing Date.
2.4 The Prize draw is free to enter and there is no charge to complete the Public Charging Survey.
2.5 The Promoter will not accept:
(a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
(b) proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
2.6 By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2.7 A winner will be chosen by a random draw performed by a computer process
on 23.08.23 ("
Draw Date").
3. ELIGIBILITY 3.1 The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over,
except employees of the Promoter, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with the administration of the Prize draw.
3.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the Prize
. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
3.3 The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
(a) automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
(b) completed by third parties or in bulk;
(c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or
(d) incomplete.
3.4 There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
4. THE PRIZE
4.1 The prize is 100kWh of public charging credit (the “
Prize”)
4.2 The Prize is supplied by Osprey Charging Network of Camburgh House, 27 New Dover Road, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 3DN.
4.3 The Prize is non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
4.4 The Prize will be in the form of a promotional code which will be redeemed in the Osprey Charging app.
4.5 The Prize must be used before 31.12.2023.
5. WINNERS5.1 The Promoter will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the email address provided with the competition entry.
5.2 The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of the Prize winner to anyone who emails support@ev.energy within one month after the Closing Date of the competition.
5.3 If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter by emailing support@ev.energy. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
6. CLAIMING THE PRIZE 6.1 The Prize will be sent to the winner via email within 14 days of the Prize draw.
6.2 The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9. DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the ev.energy
Privacy Policy. See also condition 5.3 and condition 5.4, with regard to the announcement of winners.
10. GENERAL
10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these
terms and
conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the
competition.
10.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize
competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
10.3 These
terms and
conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
