EV charging start-up ev.energy is pleased to announce its status as a Certified B Corporation®. B Corps™ are a growing group of companies who are reinventing business by pursuing purpose as well as profit.

The certification by B Lab® endorses ev.energy as a company that meets rigorous social and environmental standards, with a commitment to goals beyond just shareholder profit. B Corp certification signals a shift towards greater accountability and transparency.

Nick Woolley, CEO & Co-founder of ev.energy, said “I co-founded ev.energy with the vision to not only help increase EV adoption by making charging greener and more affordable for everyone, but also to help pave the way for a more sustainable, low-carbon future for the world. We’re proud to join a growing cohort of businesses working to deliver broader social and environmental change.”

Chris Darby, CTO & Co-founder of ev.energy, said “Every day, our team across the world works hard to enable EV drivers to charge cheaply with low-carbon energy, and to make our solution accessible to as many people as possible. Getting B Corp certification is a wonderful recognition that ev.energy not only talks the talk but walks the walk, by working in line with the highest social and environmental standards ourselves as well as with our users, clients and partners.”

ev.energy is now part of a global community of over 3,500 businesses that have been certified as B Corps. The B Corp community includes businesses from a cross-section of industries and sizes, such as Patagonia, Ben & Jerry’s, The Guardian, and Bulb Energy.
