London, UK – 21 May 2025 – Zaptec, a leading Nordic EV charging manufacturer, has today announced an integration with smart charging platform ev.energy, bringing intelligent, solar-powered charging to homes across the UK and the Netherlands. This partnership marks a significant step toward more sustainable, connected, and cost-effective home EV charging.

The collaboration enables Zaptec Go users to connect their charger to the ev.energy platform, unlocking a suite of smart features that optimise how and when EVs are charged—particularly aligning with excess solar energy production at home. This gives drivers the power to reduce charging costs while accelerating their transition to net-zero.

Smarter Charging for Greener Living

By combining Zaptec’s award-winning Zaptec Go home charger with ev.energy’s app-based platform, drivers can now:

• Optimise charging schedules to automatically align with off-peak tariffs or available solar energy
• Monitor charging in real-time, with live status updates and consumption tracking
• Control charging remotely, including the ability to start or stop sessions from anywhere
• Lower energy costs by making the most of excess solar power generated at home
• Support the grid through ev.energy’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP), enabling participation in grid-balancing services

This integration is live in both the UK and the Netherlands and is designed for homeowners who want to get more from their EV and solar investment without additional hardware or complexity.
