3 November 2022, LONDON – As EV adoption continues to grow, ev.energy, the electric vehicle (EV) software specialist, has launched Pando - a cloud-based EV charging tool for business. Pando was created to help charger manufacturers manage their smart chargers all in one place, including over-the-air firmware updates and health checks, to allow installers to commission smart chargers quickly and manage multiple brands through one platform, and to enable property managers and fleets to manage their own chargers. Following months of successful testing with 20 partners and over 20,000 chargers, Pando will be rolled out to all of ev.energy’s partners from November 2022.

Through Pando from ev.energy, not only will charger manufacturers, distributors and installers be fully compliant with UK Smart Charging Regulations, they will also have access to load management, compliance testing and charger sharing as standard – helping to improve all businesses in the electric vehicle supply chain interact with their smart chargers on and offsite.

Every charger connected to Pando can be pre-commissioned, enabling a speedy installation experience. Installers can also use Pando to check connectivity across their fleets and delegate access to property managers, reducing return-to-site visits. Pando also allows property managers to recover costs from users and share chargers, without the need for costly sub-metering.

Other features include direct control of smart charging units, load testing capabilities and adjusted smart charging settings. Every charger is natively integrated into ev.energy's EV Flex platform, which enables property managers to unlock the full benefits of smart and bi-directional charging as well as being able to fully integrate with grid flexibility services.

Nick Woolley, CEO at ev.energy, comments: “The full launch of Pando is incredibly exciting for the team at ev.energy, as the tool unlocks the real potential of the ev.energy platform, and brings smart and grid integrated charging to every home, flat, and workplace. Our partners and early adopters have helped shape the service, and we’re now ready to roll this functionality out globally to property managers, installers, charger manufacturers and fleets. Pando will help ensure our partners and clients are not only compliant with the latest smart charging regulations, but they have the power to scale their business, with minimal effort and full support from our team.”

ev.energy plans to expand the success of Pando by building out its capability of shared charger infrastructure to be used by charge point operators, businesses with EV charging parking spaces, and property managers. The development roadmap also foresees Pando being used by fleet operators for EV fleet management. The EV software specialist is currently running trials with charge point operators and fleet operators.
