PALO ALTO – Siemens and ev.energy today announced a partnership to pair the Siemens VersiCharge EV charger with ev.energy’s smart-charging app and software, connecting VersiCharge residential chargers to utility grid networks across America. Using ev.energy’s highly-rated app, VersiCharge customers can automatically qualify for utility rebates, save money on their energy bill by charging during off-peak hours, and earn additional money back by participating in demand response programs in states like California and Texas.

EV drivers across America will soon be able to purchase the VersiCharge powered by ev.energy directly from Amazon and HomeDepot, as well as through select utility programs. The VersiCharge will complement ev.energy’s suite of APIs that allows utilities to intelligently manage EV charging across both vehicles and connected chargers.

The partnership is part of the Siemens eMobility Partner Ecosystem to increase accessibility of the company’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure and financing solutions to new and expanding markets. “With this program, Siemens is integrating a broad and talented suite of partners that will enable and accelerate the transportation electrification market,” said John DeBoer, head of Siemens eMobility Solutions and Future Grid Business in North America. “Relying on initiatives like this ecosystem approach is an integral step in the right direction in our journey as a country and around the world to achieve a truly accessible and equitable EV future.”

Nick Woolley, CEO of ev.energy, added: “we are thrilled to be partnering with Siemens to deliver smart charging services that enable simpler, greener and cheaper residential charging across America. Siemens and ev.energy share a common mission to achieve an accessible and equitable EV future. By working together, we will deliver a market-leading home charging solution that accelerates the decarbonization of transport.”
